Alfa Romeo Cyprus Club Awards

Guys i came up with an idea and want to share it (as Nikolas says)

Why dont we make an event called as the threads title and give awards to the members of the club?
We could all put a small amount of money to cover the expenses of the event and the president could give awards. It will be fun and also at the same time we will have something to remember from our club
For example, at the end of the year when we will do the cutting of vasilopitta we can also do the awards.

So what do you say about this?
Im waiting for your comments

Yours sincerely

Guys its been only 2 days that ive created this thread and its been highjacked 3000 times and there are 4 pages already!
We must return back to our subject.

So what do you say? Here are some awards that we can do at the end of the year

1) Shortest member of our club
2) Tallest member of our club
3) Youngest member of our club [Award name: Mitsikurui (as Mr. Nicolas says) of the year 2012]
4) Oldest member of our club (Award name: Pappus tis xronias 2012)
5) Prankster of the club
6) Most active member of our club
7) Most silent member of our club
8) Victim of our club

These are just some. We can still think of many more. Come on guys it will be fun. We will have something to remember for the rest of our lifes

here are some for thought:

9) member to have consumed the most koupes (must still be alive)
10) most 'love to hate him' member
11) the prestigious Xenis trophy - awarded to the member with the lowest IQ
12) member with least driven mileage on their Alfa
13) member with the most carburettors

... such inspiration,,, can you guess where it is flowing from??

well these are all decent but the first 4 will always be won by the same ppl.

1) i dont see Chris growing more at his age
2) i dont see Nicolas getting shorter .... yet
3) you might think your fast but you wont catch up to anyone elses age
4) you dont get younger (ask my dad)
5)
6) easy this no? :P if u mean the forum we know who that is :P
7) will they be there to take it?
8) everyone's a victim

i think awards should have more categories related to the club's cars and activities not only in the forum

For example:

- Fastest club driver (tackdays, karts)
- Best detailed car at events
- Most updates/new parts/work on car for year
- etc... things like that

This thread has become unreadable !

We should either find a girlfriend for Shant (kamian koutsin na men tou fefkei) or introduce him to Mario's Donkey !!!

In any case, I will stop posting here as other people have complained about not been able to follow anything on the forum anymore. I will still be reading though... whatever I can....

And whos fault is that Chris? When i told you (in general) to stop highjacking the thread you were making fun of me and were posting irrelevant things. Now youre complaining. Now we have to start all over again. When i make a new thread everyone highjacks it. When i start highjacking in other threads you complain

never thought i'd see the day...Shant telling Chris off About hijacking!!!..
Most of us have at times gone overboard, some more than others but makes no difference.. A good idea would be to use the Xenis thread more, keeping relatively clearer threads for others to read,,, they may very possibly think we're all nutters.... All we do is enjoy our friendship through the forum, and because boys will be boys.... so shall we try to be good-ish boys?? kiss and make up??? guys an gals,,, lets give it good try

Epia na pw jai eipan mou !

Guys, seriously, this has gone WAYYYY out of control.
We all like to tease each other, but one reply leads to another and it rapidly becomes a big mess - unreadable to other people except for the 4 - 5 members that are constantly on-line.

Strictly speaking, its not only Shant's fault .... it is his fault though for been a "fatsoua gia kollima" - easy guy to pick on - but I requested from Shant not to reply to every single word they say about him on any other forum than the Ksenis one.
If we all try and do the same, it will be easier for other members to follow the threads they would like to follow and reply !

If we manage to keep this under control, in a couple of days I will be able to call the other guys up and let them know that its "safe" to return to the discussions

On the other hand, we can still use Ksenis Thread - which will be renamed - as well as our facebook accounts for the more social chatting

Please remember that other members from UK also try to read our posts, and if it doesnt make any sense to them they wont reply at all !

Shant, let Chris clean / delete what ever he can, maybe even entire threads in order to get things organized and then see what new threads we can start and what not.

To get this thread started again,

I think that its more appropriate to move along the lines George is suggesting.
It is something we thought about before, but never came to a conclusion about it.

Its because you waited for me to bring up the idea again

Georges ones sound good.
We can add some more though if we think of something else.
Also we can get a 'surprise' award too

Personally I don't like the idea of awards...
Wherever there are awards there is competition and people start to think the other as competitor rather than fellow member.
Personally I don't want to take part in this

If some people dont feel comfortable then its fine. We can forget about the awards.
Dont forget that it still is just an idea

Yes I don't like that.
When I go to these classic car rallies I see how people behave for a "tsigkeno" cup.
There are no frienda just people who talk one against the other behind their back.
And people even to mafia stuff in order to win something

I don't want the club to end up like this.
We are Banch of friends who love their cars and spent time together in activities they all enjoy.
Why do we need awards for?

I was thinking that we will have something to remember from our club in the future. But its ok if you dont feel comfortable we can leave it

I think that Nicolas is right. These awards will bring competition, and that is something (I think) we do not want among us. We are all proud (my opinion again) because until now we have proved that we are here to help each other and not compete between us.

And coming to "things to remember", believe me there will be nothing better than after years pass by, we recall things we have done, activities and good times we had together and we smile.....Nothing can beat that "souvenir".

To be honest i really feel lucky to be part of this group and im very happy about that Ive had fantastic moments at the events plus on the forum where we always talk nice things
I made some new friends also from this club and all of them are incredible including Thomas and Chris
The serious part now
Mr. Pavlos we have to move fast and make some t-shirts. Summer has come and we dont have anything to wear. This will be a souvenir too
