Alfas and Babies

I am starting this thread to gather some ideas about how to introduce the newborn to the Alfa (or Italian car) family

If someone has any ideas please, I would like you to post them here

For a start here a nice idea from my wife:

Now, I know this is not strictly about Alfa Romeos but about "Cars" Cartoon, but it has 2 interesting pictures in it

This

Every year you should buy them at least a Ferrari & Alfa t-shirt. I do not buy only t-shirts but jackets, caps, etc. After the Achna meeting they asked me when I can buy them our club's t-shirts.

I agree with you man,
As long as it be Alfas and Apoel

No seriously, Is not that, I just like the idea of decorating, buying toys and staff like that
When he grow up he can choose whatever he wants

When i was a kid.. maybe 7-8 years old, my father bought me -or i forced him to buy me- a Ferrari 288 GTO toy..
Of course i knew nothing about cars and surely i couldn't assembly the one my dad bought me.
so when we got home i unpacked the kit/package which had the italian flag on it, my father assembled the car and i was a happy owner of a Ferrari toy.

Next year or the year after that, there was the 1994 World Cup going on. i remember i was blackmailing my sister to beat her if she didnt stay awake with me until the end of the final. i was supporting Italy because Ferrari was Italian..

In 1997 i was supporting Juventus in the Champions League because it was Italian..

After that it was all falling together.

After some years when i started watching some Formula 1 i was of course with Ferrari, due to that Red toy i had..
On every World Cup i am supporting Italy.
Every year i wish Juve wins the Campionato.

And that red toy eventually got me here. In the Italian/Alfa world.

so yes.. a bit of guidance wont hurt

OMG, I HAVE THE ALFA BUG

I remember going downstairs with my dad and our then parrot called 'Schumi' where he used to wash his cars and i used to moan to him all the time cos i wanted to help him with the washing. I was too young then so my dad only let me clean the rims of the cars
He ALWAYS talked to me about italian cars when i was young and also used to buy me car toys and scale models therefore he is the reason i ended up supporting fiat / alfa / lancia / abarth / ferrari / maserati
He also made me support the Italians in the world cup too
So all i can say now is a BIG thank you to my dad who made me half Italian!

lol

Ok, so my dad doesnt like cars !

He used to own a Mercedes 121 which he loved and I absolutely hated !!!
It looked disgusting and smelled like poo inside ( suppose its the smell of Mercedes leather ).

My grandfather owned a Mercedes 123 like the one Nikolas has ! I hated that one even more !!!

He never watched any races with me (the time the AA rally passed outside my house in Palechori) and he was never into Italian cars.
My whole family had been against me when I wanted to buy my first Alfa Romeo. They wanted me to buy Jap Crap ! They even took me to test drive a Honda Integra - because they knew I wouldnt settle for some slow @rse sh*t

You all know how I ended up !
So brainwash has nothing to do with it

Correction!!!! Mine is a W116

Simillar story here, my grandad was and is into Mercs
My dad was never a rally nor a football fan,

he was into Fiats but after his Fiat Ritmo 60cl (crap but I loved it) he became a sworn enemy of Italian cars.

When he was about to buy me my first car he didn't want to hear anything about the 147 that I wanted desperatly so he bought me.... a Renault Megane (the one with that ass)

Now... he owns 3 Mercedes all bought from new

Conclusion: There is no brainwash in these matters. Worst case you will turn your kid against what you want him to love!!!

But, back to my subject....

Well... he laughed
Tried to convince to buy a Merc (which is opposite the ex Demades showroom)

but after a visit to the show room and a test drive, he wasn't just conviced, he also chipped in for the purchase
