Last event for 2011

Hi again guys,

organizing the final event for 2011 - excluding the "Cutting the Vasilopitta" event on the beginning of 2012.

For now, its the 2 day event with overnight stay at Platres on the 4th and 5th of November !

It has been suggested that we go to the same hotel we went last year - "New Helvetia".
... I hope I wrote that correctly...

Prices per room for one night including dinner with soup and other grilled dishes are:
60 Euro for single bed room
100 for the double
Kids under 12 years old stay for free and pay a 10 euro fee for the dinner.

We would like to see who is interested in this event so we can book early.

On the other hand, if someone would like to suggest a different hotel or location, you are welcome to do so. Just remember it has to be a 2 day event on those dates.

If we will be staying at the same hotel as last year, we need to get confirmations and half the cost as a down payment so we can book the rooms.

Suggested program for the event:

1. Meeting point is the parking area of Ellinas DIY / Anthoupolis on 5NOV at 14.00
2. Departure at 14.30
3. Follow the main road through Troodos square to Platres
4. Arrival at the Hotel = Check-in at around 16.00
5. Rest / Free time until 20.00
6. Dinner at the hotel (Soup / Mixed Grill Dish / Disert)
7. Breakfast on 06NOV around 8.30 to 9.00
8. We can include a visit to a monastery (eg Kykkos)
9. Lunch at Kykkos

As said above this is our suggestion. Any comments or suggestion that could make our weekend better are more than

Hello Guys!
Unfortunately 95% I won't be able to come to this last event due to work and family obligations.
(I always leave this 5% just in case)
I will try to join you to Ellinas DIY parking lot before you departure

FYI though!!!!
Today I found one of the MOST fantastic roads in Cyprus, is the road from Platres - Mandria - Kedares.
It combines a great scenery and an awsome driving experience
Please try pass by if you have time especially during afternoon hours
