Well, if there is anyone in Nicosia that sells these I think it will come a lot cheaper and quicker.
Isn't it?

OK found them! Thanks
I've tried ebay and apparently noone ships these filters to Cyprus
Maybe it's because there is an authorised dealer here (I am very well aware of these kind of tricks)
Anyway, the price difference is only 10 euros so...

How much did you bought it? In ebay it was 65 euros (shipping incl.) and I bought it for 75 euros from the dealer.

Oh! And that brings me to another question:
What is the use of the air box around the air filter?
Can't I just have the air filter hanging there without that box? Does it have to be in an air box?
Wouldn't the air flow to the engine be better without it?

Haha !!!!!! The common mistake !

The air box makes sure that you "suck" cold air from outside the engine bay ! Usually there is a flexible hose as well attached to your airbox and a plastic vent next to your radiator.

If you leave the air filter hanging there, the only thing you will get is boiling hot air, which is the worst thing you can do that affects the performance of the car ! Things get worse while driving at high speed ! The outside air is pushed inside the radiator to cool it and ends up in your engine bay.

What you need is a Cold Air Intake !
Racing air filter with an airbox is the way to go

Try BMC air filters

I have installed the K&N filter last weekend and I have tested it today!
Got to say the difference is quite noticable!
The car became a bit more "nervous" during acceleration from low revs.
I will drive the car during the whole weekend and I hope there will be more pleasant surprises

Good to know Nikolas, but unless you test the car for real life performance don't be that sure.
The induction noise definetely makes things more sporty and gives the impression that the car is more responsive and faster. Back in 1984 I bought from "Ripspeed" in the UK a pair of foam free flow air filters and installed them on my Alfa 33 S1 (Green Cloverleaf). Induction noise was unbeatable but hardly found any performance benefit. Mind you the engine was a carb one where your Brera has an advanced injection system so air to fuel ratio and mapping are automatically adjusted. Please keep us updated.

As Pavlos mentioned in another thread the best route to drive is up to the mountains but night time with the windows down. Enjoy.....!!

Yes, sure, I will cover many kilometers this weekend so I will be able to confirm that or not!
I always look for an excuse to visit the mountains
Can't wait to do that whe I'll have the chance again
