Regarding SELENIA, I'm afraid they are no longer available in Cyprus. The dealer was Demades but he stopped importing a long time ago.
I dont know if CIC has re-imported the make now that they are in charge.

Paraflu should still be available. Ask at CIC parts !

Asked today. Unfortunetly they do not import either of these brands anymore. They use the closest substitutes they can get. Yes I got it. I am very happy with it. At the moment I am holding back. After about 2k km when the suspension brakes and everything is ready I will see what it can do. I can say that the car looks fantastic and the torque is amazing. I think for me it is perfect. I read many reviews about the seats are not very supportive and it doesnt sound much... etc. I was looking for something sporty comfortable and driver oriented. And that is exactly what it is. The steering has a very nice weight to it so does the clutch but never too heavy. The break pedal simply feels right. Not too soft as various golfs i have driven. And the suspension absorbs the bumbs very effectively making it quite comfortable for a sport car. And the cabin noise can be compred to top spec mercs. All in all i am very happy with it and I cant wait to use dynamic mode for the first time.

And how about posting some pics? I used the dynamic mode with less than 100 kms on the clock, I was just careful not to pass the 3000rpms... Mine (a 1.4MA) came with pirellis P-Zero 18" tires and they are the only downside I can think of. The road noise inside the cabin in highway speeds can be a bit high (and of course our roads don't help either).

Anyway, it's still easily the best car that you can buy with that amount of money Enjoy it mate, and remember to wave if you see me around Nicosia

Definetly!! I try to waive to other giulietta owners!! Mine came with bridgestones potenza and thats probably the reason with our different opinions on road noise. Mine is very silent indeed. Should be the tires mate. I do not know how this webpage works really for posting pics etc but I would probably join your next club event

Try about nearly 1000 for a qv. Sport loading is double from the MA.

Your cars should behave the other way round !

Actually Pirelli P Zero Nero is a lot stiffer than the Potenza. The Bridgestone tyres though tend to make a lot of noise ! Never had noise problems with Pirelli.

If they are the Rosso, thats even better ! I used to have Bridgestone Potenza 720 on my 33. I didnt like them at all on wet roads and by the time they warmed up enough for handling, I was already at my destination

Sorry to turn this thread into a tyre discussion , but I had the bad luck today of a blown tyre on the highway to Larnaca I got wet and angry. I'll be putting Michellin Pilot Sport tomorrow, so I'll let you know what the results will be

Sorry to hear about your day mate. Hmm I dont know but I can say that bridgestones are quiet at the moment. Maybe its because they are new. My brother uses exactly the same tires on his mazda rx8 and they are the factory fitted tires for that car as well. I was expecting my car to be fitted with pirellis to be honest. I have no idea why it came with bridgestones. Maybe thats the tire they reccoment with this model.

Hi,
Congratulations for your new car. Really an excellent choice of a perfect car. Take care of it (her) and enjoy your time.
You may add some photos of her. (I hope you have chosen the right colour!)
Bravo again.

Iacovos

Alfa 147 1.6 twin spark

Guys I am thinking of replacing my 147 but to be honest I don't like the looks of the Giulietta. I am not trying to be clever but that's the honest truth. It doesn't do it for me. Since we are talking about Giuliettas here what were your thoughts when she first came out? Did everyone like it? I thought it was like a FIAT Bravo at the back with fancy lights and like a Mito at the front. I know it could grow on me with time and I am desperate for a new alfa.
I want to envy a car before buying it if you know what I am talking about...

I love the aggressive looks of the 159/Brera an I'm a huge fan of the gorgeous GT. But technology-wise isn't it a step backwards to go for one of those?

Giulietta 1.4MA Veloce

Last year in May, when I first saw the car in pictures I didn't really like the front. But after seeing it up close, (in an Alfa dealer in Athens, as it didn't arrive in Cyprus yet) I liked it. I liked it a lot...

In fact the proportions of the car are spot on, and I think that it is definitely the best looking car of its class! So, if you haven't already, go by the Nicosia showroom and check it out. They also have a white GT there so you can compare Photos don't do any justice to the car but...

http://www.planetautocar.com/wp-cont...-Giulietta.jpg
http://www.ausmotive.com/images/Alfa...ulietta-02.jpg

And check the Facebook page for the Giulietta, Fan photos from Alfa Romeo Giulietta | Facebook there are a lot of user submitted pictures...

As for the back, it is actually very wide! Much wider than any other hatchback and the rear lights make a great effect...

PS: I know that I am basically advertising my own car but, the Giulietta got second place award for World Car Design of the year. In front of the Aston Martin Rapide and only behind the Ferrari 458! AN ASTON AND FERRARI FOR GOD SAKE!

PS2: Alfa Romeo sold 30 cars total for the past 4 months! I've read the report from the Statistical Service... That's a big plus if you like being unique.

PS3: I was at the CIC Automasters today, and I found out that they are giving free service for 3 years (or 50.000Km) and 5 years warranty on both the Mito and the Giulietta!

PS4: Nothing, I 'm done...

You can wait and save money for the upcoming 4C, that will make you envy.

True. I have been given as well a three year free service plan as well. I was not expecting it but it was a plesant suprise. I think you should see the car for real and then make up ur mind. I have seen the car in pictures qnd have to admit was not really that impressed. Seeing it for real though was a no brainer choice. It is one of those cars that fotos dont do justice of it. At the moment I have to confess as a happy owner. Took it to a back road today the one between tseri and analiontas. I have to say that even if I have not pushed the car in any way or even passed 4k rpm the car has a very solid feel on the road and seems very capable.

Since safety and low emissions are the main concern of manufacturers, you are absolutely right. But if those happen to be among your priorities as well then you have to go with the current trend!

No you dont You can always drive a 20 year old 16v 33, or a 25 year old Sprint or Sud, or a 30 year old GTV6 !

High emissions, flowers fade when you drive past them, TOP quality pollution !
.......... But SOOO much fun !!!

Seriously now, regarding the new MiTo and Giulietta, they must be de-tuned to pass certain regulations ! On the other hand, nobody said anything about modifications !
Those cars have potentials of been absolute MONSTERS !!!

Concerning the emissions road taxes-law, if its voted it will only apply for the car purchased after this law is implemented.
That's what the transport secretary said at least
