Ford Capri 1600GL First car. Slow and noisy but a lot of fun on icy roads
Chrysler Alpine. Car of the year in it's day. Almost as fast as an XR3 but much more comfortable.
Datsun Cherry. Least said about this one the better. I once drove it from Wolverhampton to Reading in the dead of night with virtually no functioning brakes.
Matra Simca Bagheera. Basically a mid engined sports car with the Chrysler 1500 engine from the Alpine
Rover P6 3500. Memorable mostly for the bloody great hole in the exhaust that I couldn't afford to get fixed. It sounded like a drag racer.
Chrysler 2ltr. Biggest back seat evah. Like a double bed, which coincidentally is what it was used for a lot of the time.
Vauxhall Nova. Tiny and feather light company car. Quite a lot of fun like so many under powered cars. I just used to drive it flat out everywhere. Drive it like you stole it.
Ford Orion. Another company car. I used to drive 1000 miles a week at that time and the Orion never let me down.
Vauxhall Cavalier.
Citroen BX GTI. First car I ever had with ABS.
Vauxhall Carlton
Wolseley 1500. Once drove it from Didcot to London to a specialist who was going to change the engine for me. When we jacked it up and got underneath we found that the gearbox was only held to the engine by one bolt...and that one was loose. Eek!
Another Nova. My own this time. Still a poverty spec model.
Another BX GTI. I liked it so much I bought my own. Some drunk on the way home from a nightclub smashed into it and wrote it off outside my house at 2 in the morning. Then somehow managed to drive away.
Ford Escort 1300. Slow and turd brown in colour. Handled nicely though so was quite a lot of fun to drive.
Volvo 245GLT estate
Volkswagen Sharan. First and only new car I ever bought. Never again. I only had it for just over a year and I lost so much money on it.
Another Cavalier. Late model 2 litre with the Ecotec engine. A really good car. I'd have another just like it today.
Peugeot 306 estate. Boring but did the job.
Astra (really tatty 1400 I bought for 300 quid)
Vectra
3 litre Omega estate. Most comfy car I've ever been in. Just rather thirsty [/understatement]
1991 MX5. Best and most fun per mile car I've ever ever ever driven. Totally reliable over 70,000 miles in 3 years. Never had to do anything to it apart from service it and alway arrived at my destination with a big grin on my face.
Another Astra. An early Mk4 CDX this time and although it wouldn't raise your pulse it had the advantage of being cheap to run, completely reliable and very comfortable.
147 2.0 TS Lusso Selespeed. Had it for about 6 months but only done about 3000 miles as it's been hideously unreliable so far. Still love it though.

A good colour choice!
Is there a way to place the 'martini' stickers on it?

 thanks
I've already found a guy for this job
Everything will be done in time.
At first I'll try to fix everything that has to do with the electrics (currently is at the mechanic to fix the alternator),
then I'll try to "refresh" the engine (replace old, rusty tubes and hoses)
at the same time I'll try to refresh the interior also (although it's almost in perfect condition)
then remove any tiny rust
and then I'll check if I can do a good martini replica

We'll need some pictures when you finish the project.
Is there a 'Lancia' or 'integrale' club in Cyprus?

Stelios Laos (the owner of Peugeot Service in Larnaka) bought a red one from UK last year, and I think he is servicing it himself.

Yes, I've been restoring it for some time now but its going very slow as parts are really hard to find.
I've spent more than 6000 euro on it till now and I'll need another 3000 probably to finish it. The rust has been welded, and the body needs painting.
The chassis is finished as well with brakes and everything working fine. I have new Koni suspension for it but I still need the engine gasket kit in order to close the engine. I managed to find new pistons but I still need the tensioner for the timing chain and a clutch disk and plate.
Sometime it will be done...

ok, I will The only thing keeping me "interested" still on that car is the fact that it weights 700 kg and its rear wheel drive !

Come on Chris!
I know it's not an Alfa but it's a nice classic car worth of keeping it in a good condition.
Anyway, in the future, if you decide to sell it, I might be interested, so please let me know
(After the Lancia, if I will ever decide to buy another classic car it will be a 2 seated convertibe (spider) or coupe)
