Historic Car Rallying

As you may know the 22nd International Historic Cyprus Rally took place the last weekend.

Our alfista and rookie to these events, “nikolasv” and his co-driver took the 18th overall place among 68 participants.

Congratulations to both for the commitment shown and overall performance.

Officially they now have the bug.......

Reminds me of an episode I saw of Top Gear, where the guys were taking part in a historic rally.

Jeremy Clarkson missed the whole consept of the race. He was driving an MG Midget, going like crazy, overtaking everyone.

Funniest part was that he would slow down while overtaking them, and shouted " Looooooser " to them

....needless to tell you, he finished last

Yes, I saw that episode. It was very funny
But our whole experience remind me of another Top Gear episode.
Did you see the one which they bought a 535D and participate on a 24hour endurance rally?
I remember on that episode they had a few problems and they were close to "desert" from the rally, and at the last minute the problem was solved and they were back on track...
We had a case like this on the second day, were we fixed the car just half hour before the start
You can't imagine the feeling with all this agony to fix the car in time and continue the race
It was amazing.
And also the feeling when you finish
