unfortunately you are right.
the weight of organizing a meet or an event has been left on two people only !
The problem is, that if one person or two have to make 60 phone calls, only 20 of those say they will come, then book a restaurant, get a price, organize a route to get there which will be fair to the guys from Limassol as well.
Then at the day of the event, if we say 10 o clock in the morning, this means that they will keep on comming until 11 o clock which messes up the whole program.
from the 20 cars we expect to show, only 15 show and the rest dont even answer their phones.
then we need to get people to understand that we cannot act like we are 8 years old in the streets, no overtaking, no high speed races, no rubber burning etc.
Its a lot of work that takes days to organise and not many people appreciate it
so we have decided to do the following.
We gave our club papers to an advocate to proceed with the listing of the club. we charge 10 euro for enrollment and 20 for a yearly membership.
this way we can have only members who are really interrested !
secondly, starting from 2010 there will be a yearly meet / discussion to decide from the beginning of each year, what events/competitions will take place and where.
these events will be in such a way, so if someone cant come at one event he can come at another!
plus from next year we will only contact by phone the listed and paid members in order to save our time and efforts

We started off many years ago, with 3 events per year.
This year we had 2 events and we are planning another one by the end of November
