Koni Suspension on older 135

Hi All,

I understand that the newer 135 Mito's have a Koni suspension setup that is much better than the old setup and deals with the crashy ride?
Is it possible to retro fit the new suspension to an older Mito 135 (10 plate?). Is it just new shocks or has something elso been changed in the suspension?
I've seen a few threads on here dealing with new shocks but they seem to be talking about lowering the suspension as well....

They are complete new shocks, not just springs. you could go down this route to keep it OEM also

If you are going to 'go one better' than the OEM Koni Sports suspension of the 135MA you would be better off going with the Koni FSDs. The MiTo has sufficient rear suspension travel so 'in theory' it should not reduce the life expectancy of the shocks.
Another option is a set of Bilstein B4s (they're twin tube & resonably priced) but it may not resolve the crashy ride.
If you went for the Koni Sports suspension this would worth well with either the standard springs or a set of lower springs like Eibach but I haven't tried this.
The FSDs are probably the best option if you're looking for comfort & performance with the standard spring height. It's an option that I'm strongly considering if I keep the 155TB.
