Hmmm My New Mito (and its ABS light)

Hi guys,

I've been admiring the mito for a long time and have been running a GP 1.4 for 2 years and fancied a step up. The Mito looked like a nice option. I saw one at a local car showroom and fell in love. Etna black Veloce with red calipers and seats and tinted rear windows, late 59 plate with one previous lady owner. Ideal. Paid my deposit there and then.

The garage agreed to have it ready in 2 days, which I thought was a pretty quick turn-around. However, I went to pick it up and as they were dirivng it round to the front the ABS light came on, they plugged into thier machine but could not diagnose the fault so It's had to got to the Alfa dealer.

The salemsan says the ABS sensor was damaged while the weels were put back on after a tyre change. Im not so sure.

Another point of note, When I first test drove the car, the DNA switch did not function and the windows didn't automatically slide back up once the doors were closed. I was tripple assured by 2 salesmen and a mechanic this was simply due to a low battery.

Anyway, I guess I'll just have to wait untill Alfa have had it and fixed it (hopefully). I'll update this when I get it it - looking forward to the experience!

Abit like you, I went from a fiat GP 1.4 to a Mito. Despite your initial issues, the Alfa should prove to be virtually hassle free and a step up from your current car (based on my current experiences!!)

Salesman called today to confirm it was with a dealer who needed to get "authorisation from Alfa" to complete the repair as its near to the end of the warranty! (runs out in September)

What's the crack here? Is this usual?

Cheers
