Hi Everyone
Ive had a problem for the last two months and have resisted posting in the hope I could fix it myself but I have failed. I have a Mito 1.4.
In a nutshell,
I'm getting the usual ASR, VDC, Hill Holder etc errors.
Using my bluetooth ELM327 code reader gave the errors P0220 and P0120.
I replaced the accelerator pedal with a used from Ebay. P0120 disapeared but the p0220 error stayed.
I then replaced the throttle body with a used on ebay but the P0220 error persists.
I then replaced the accelerator with brand new but P0220 remains.
Now today I was checking out the scuttle drain, I had read (Technical: Modified Scuttle Drain - The FIAT Forum) that if the mod was not performed then water may be dripping on the alternator which can cause all sorts of electrical problems. Well i HAVE the modded pipe that sends the water towards the right (as your standing at the front looking rear - towards the center of the engine).
The scuttle drain seems to drip very near an electrical connector at the back of the engine (I dont know what it is) I removed the connector (two wires) and replaced and since then I now have the P0102 error also.
I can clear the errors and start the engine, they both (P0220 and P0102) appear as soon as the accelerator is pressed.
Note - some days, I can drive the car for a while before the erros show.
Would anyone be able to assist? I dont like to be the one asking for help but I am totally lost.
Ps. I have an Alfa GT but my wife has the Mito.
