Re: Alfa Romeo 'Junior'
That Duetto render is the hottest thing I have seen in a long time, yes please I'll have two. It is about time that Italy produces small affordable light and sexy little sports cars, an Italian MX5. MSV

Re: Alfa Romeo 'Junior'
Agreed. There was an idea floated by Lancia in the last year or so to make that sort of car (to be called Fulvia), however the plan was killed before seeing production.

Re: Alfa Romeo 'Junior'
A small hard top such as the Fulvia would really have been 'nice' , Anyone over about 30 ,unless your a female, looks a right tosser in a soft top car .....
and here in Australia, very sunburnt .....
and unlike the Norwgian "Expert' who said that the sun cannot hurt you and it is good to get out there and soak it up, I know that the sun will turn your skin so red and burnt that it comes off in hard painfull flakes.....and if you are lucky the Melanomas you get will not kill you!
If the hardtop Fulvia had been produced and been available in Australia, I would have been inclined to 'jump ship' so to speak

It looks like the latest renderings are quite close to the mark.

Re: Alfa Romeo 'Junior'
Oh dear! Now I like the Ka, but an Alfa looking dumpy like a Ka? I don't think so. Hopefully it will look better in the flesh.

Re: Alfa Romeo 'Junior'
I have been following the Fulvia story, having had a Fulvia myself. The concept of 2003 was super great but now apparently it is going to become another Coupe Cabriolet four seater with "luxury" overtures, a real pity, not enough blokey Italian cars to buy then...

Re: Alfa Romeo 'Junior'
yes it is on the grande punto platform. they had no choice if it was going to be a 3 door, there was no other platform that could be used. the bravo platform hasnt been made into a 3 door yet. it is getting used for the 149 instead. fiat fans are hoping the 149 will come as a 3 door, and the development done for that will provide a 3 door bravo, personally i'm not so sure because it isnt unusual for this sector to be 5door only these days.
i'm sure the junior will look and drive better than the punto, but i'm not sure who will buy one.
no longer an alfa owner

Re: Alfa Romeo 'Junior'
you could save a few quid getting a Grande Punto Sporting instead. the GPS will be the main competitor of the junior imo.

Re: Alfa Romeo 'Junior'
Mrs MPH is considering the GPS. Nice but just not me. If the Junior has that bit more style and poise adn a revvy turbo charged petrol engine. Would defo consider.

Re: Alfa Romeo 'Junior'
the GPS has the 1.4T-Jet that the junior is getting, GPS has it in 120bhp form but i suspect the junior will get the 150bhp map used on the bravo.
