Extreme Alfa MiTo?

Here's an idea that's so daft it'll never see the light of day.

How about an extreme Alfa MiTo, even more so than MiTo Gta?

One with a slightly detuned Alfa 8C engine. Mounted at the rear (think Clio V6), but with 4x4.



There's no reason why not to do this, is there?

Aye! But you may have to mount the engine transversely, so it fits inside the MiTo - even with the rear seats taken out (I'm assuming 8C mounts it longitinally.

Then you'll have problems getting the gearbox in.

A better bet would be the 159/Brera v6 driving the rear wheels and with a supercharger helping the donkey to breathe..

There's only been two suggestions so far - one was 4WD and one RWD

budget constraints, pah! There's wedge in the Bank of Fiat to fund this (esp if they flog a few more 500s lol)

oh...about the Fiat 500...once the che-che retro novelty has worn off, do you guys think it has enough qualities to be an attractive new buy proposition in 2013?
