If you squint a bit you will see the dashboard looks like clamps from Futurama

Re: Mi.To Interior

Incidentally after reading the aticle about the MiTo in FEEL magazine I don't think there will be a MiTo GTA, I think they'll do a MiTo Sprint as it looks like they are positioning the car as the spiritual successor to the Alfasud.

Re: Mi.To Interior

jeez if this thing doesnt sell like hotcakes alfa may as well give up on the uk, other than those of us on here and AROC, the uk just doesnt get Alfa. i dont know what the pricing will be like, but if i were BMW id be worrying how many mini customers the mito will steal.

between the 500 and the mito the italian alternative to the mini is a stronger option, but as everyones knows alfas fall apart and breakdown all the time

now all i need to do is convince the girlfriend that she doesnt want another hardtop convertable thing and what she really wants is a black mito with red leather or maybe a white 500 with red leather.

That's what will hurt MiTo sales... all the muppets elsewhere in the motoring world that still peddle that load cobblers !!

I'm not as impressed with that interior as I hoped I'd be actually Fake carbon fibre everywhere is not a good look IMO

Re: Mi.To Interior

...like the look of it, only area which I'm not sure about is the central facia around the ventilation controls and radio. Hope its aluminium rather than silver plastic, also perhaps the darker aluminium from the Brera might have looked better. However for that segment vehicle I think it leaves everything else standing. Hope Alfa score with this.

I think 149 GTA is most likely. I think the Mi.To pics in Feel are very good and this could be a successful car for Alfa. And a Sprint version would be cool. My first Alfa was a Sprint Green Cloverleaf in the 80s and I loved it. Might be tempted by a MiTo Sprint even though I think a new GTA would be my choice.

Cheers,

Nigel

Re: Mi.To Interior

Those pics certainly make the iterior look a lot better than some I've seen earlier. Still to be convinced by the exterior though.

My wife definately prefers the 500 though, so no Mito for us.

Re: Mi.To Interior

The 500 is more of a girlies' car, no doubt

The MiTo more for the young male crowd.

Re: Mi.To Interior

It was mentioned in the UK CAR magazine that the carbon fibre effect was 'soft touch', even they couldn't quite work that out. Looks good, although those pics show blue/red dials like VWs where as the MiTo blog vids have all shown standard Alfa red dials, different effects for the three (kind of announced) trim levels? Hopefully the front won't look so awkward in the metal and I'll be getting one next year, if not it's a 500 Abarth for me. Girls cars, yeah of course.

The 500 Abarth is definitely not a girl's car
