Raggazon twin silenced DTM

Hi everyone

I currently have a silenced twin raggazon dtm style backbox (the one that's €879 new on
Alfisti)

It was on the car when I bought it and is in good condition but obviously used.

Basically I am trying to justify replacing it with the Wizard exhaust which sounds perfect IMO!

Does anyone here have any rough idea how much the ragazzon is worth second hand? (I did have a search but couldn't find anyone having sold that particular exhaust).

Is £250-300 in the right area?

Thanks

If you are refering this Alfa Spider und Alfa GTV Ragazzon Edelstahl Doppel-ESD 2x70 DTM - Alfa Romeo Shop - Tuning, Styling, Fanartikel und Modellautos then that is classed as the "Quad" with the silencer boxes either side.

Although the Wizard does sound awesome! You have already spent a chunk of coin on this Ragazzon back section.

If you want it to sound properly good, then I would do the following..

Replace the centre silencer box with either a Custom or Ragazzon straight through pipe from the CAT, to this back section. The flow will be much better and it will give you the noise you are looking for, at minimal additional cost, compared to the loss / then the cost of the full Wizard system.

I have a standard centre box (x1 silencer) to the Ragazzon Quad (straight through) rear pipes (this is the other option to what you have) and it makes a nice noise, but still gives the noise of the Busso as well.

I think your price of Circa £300.00 is very fair.

I paid £200.00 for a used unsilenced Ragazzon Quad DTM's, so that should give you a bench mark for pricing.

Personally, I'd just do the unrestricted centre pipe.

If it is the quad you have then I would be interested in purchasing them.

That's what I first assumed on the opening statement, but where the OP mentions 800+ Euros, it had to be the link I posted as the prices match.

Hi
Yes sorry it's the 'quad' version.
Fortunately I didn't buy it it was on the car when I bought it.

I have run it with a silenced mid pipe and it's sounds very nice if a bit quiet.

I currently have an unsilenced mid pipe and it's very loud!

What's your opinion on the sound?

Thanks

Sounds Good with the straight through pipe

I'd be quite happy with that, and look to spend the money on something else. Don't know what you currently got on the car, but for spending around £600 notes on the Wizard, you could do..

- Q2 LSD
- Koni Sport (Adjustable) Yellow or Koni SR-T (Non-Adjustable) Orange Dampers
- Remap
- Brake Upgrade

??? Few suggesstions.

Well it doesn't quite sound as I would have expected, or as good. What is the rest of your system made up of, standard or de-cated manifolds? Standard or equal length downpipes? Standard, sports, or de-cated front cat?

I was quite interested I this item as part of my system, but maybe you only get the sound I am after with all the parts in place.

If you are after that raspy sound you need the wizard, you won't get it with these silenced pipes

Yeah I'm not 100% sure on the sound either! It obviously sounds much better in the flesh.

I have standard front pipes and cat. The straight through pipe is also mild steel not stainless(came with car).

The car has quaife diff, GTA clutch/flywheel and koni dampers at the moment.

My logic is if I sell the raggazon the wizard won't be too much of a financial hit!

Thanks for the advice/replys

Well if you do sell it I could just about muster £250 if we could work out how to get it delivered to me. Just spent 3k on mine getting back on the road so funds are a bit low atm.

I'll be sure to let you know when I sell it. May depend on the waiting times for the wizard! I'm going to call them next week

Hi
Apologies to resurrect an old thread but just so everyone is aware I have put the exhaust on eBay with no reserve (I had several messages from people about selling it so I think it's the fairest way)

Thanks

Ah the sweet smell of victory and the sound of an emptying bank balance.

I look forward to fitting them.

Ebay is all about the timing isn't it. If I fit them and don't like the sound, I'll let you know.
