Re: ARB Bushes - Big Job?
This is exactly the problem I have been having. The car tramlines dreadfully to the point where sometimes it doesn't feel as though the steering is connected. There is no play in the steering, I have changed track rod ends, drop links and wishbones so I agree it now must be down to the tires. It definately got worse when I put some ebay wheels on the front, tires are 'Champiro' or something like. Would definately not recommend them, they are only temporary whilst I refurbish my other set! With regard to the arb bushes, this is also something I have been looking into, I posted on this last week but got no reply. I personally dont think you need to remove the subframe, I dont think you even need to remove the reinforcement struts, I reckon all you need to do is unbolt the forward bolt which is accessed through a whole in the subframe and then lever the clamps upwards. Looking at the eper diagram it looks like the clamps are hinged on the rearward side. Will have to wait until after chrimbo till I find out for sure.
