Re: Gtv Electric window doesnt work????
Take the door card off. Get a multimeter and check the voltage across the connector going to the motor. There should be 12v +ve or -ve across it. If there is and your window is not moving then the problem is your motor in the window. You can also try putting 12v across the connector to the motor - it should move up or down; if not your motor is dead.
If the 12v signal is not reaching your motor then it could be due to the switch in the door or to the control unit.
The door switch has 5 wires going to it for the drivers window switch (and another 5 for the passenger side). 2 of these are for the illumination, but you can easily remove the switch and work out which connectors are used for up and down. Try shorting them instead to determine if the window moves - if it does then the problem was with your switch.
Failing that it could be the N38 controller which for RHD cars is behind the glovebox. Or worse of all it could be a wiring problem, but by now you will have a good idea where to look. A common problem could be if water and corrosion had got into the connector block which connects the wiring into the door (black circular connector about 4cm diameter).
