Help Abs light fault

hi there everyone, just joined the site and have a few questions to ask, currently own a 2003 GTV JTS
Recently replaced n/s/r wheel bearing with a non oem part. The bearing I was told was compatible with the front or rear wheel. On fitting the bearing I have found that the ABS light stays on, all the brakes are okay and the sensor on the n/s/r looks okay. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Also could any one recommend a specialist to service the car, I am located in Teeside, North East of England.

Re: Abs light fault

Hi there. I'm having ABS trouble at the minute too. If the light came on immediately after you had the work done I'd have another look at the sensor. A diagnostic check from an alfa specialist would identfy the fault (costs around £40).

Have a skim through this thread for a recommended garage in the NE, I think there are a few... http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/gener...endations.html (Independent garage Recommendations)

I believe there is a method for a DIY diagnosis by counting flashes of the ABS light but I can't for the life of me find the connector you have to earth to initiate it!

Re: Abs light fault

Try the connections they are a bit prone to problems, a new sensor is about £50-60 almost cheaper to buy a new one than get the diagnostics, but if its not that? then !!!

By the way ..... Hi there and welcome!
