I'm hoping that you'll all be able to shed some of your knowledge on this one. Had a new Rad fitted about 5 weeks ago and since done about 1200 miles. Before the fit, when there was water in the system
, the temp sat nicely at 85 ish, dropped to maybe 80 motorway driving and went to 90 before the fans brought it back in traffic.
Since the new Rad most of my miles have been motorway which sees the temp drop to 50 degrees, when i get back into traffic it gets to the usual 85... Is this a problem? Am i cooking my engine if it thinks the engine is cool thus not pumping coolant around?
Also, on the motorway this morning, my injector warning light came on so i pulled off and took a look. 5 / 10 mins of being parked it cleared itself and i carried on only for it to happen again 5 miles later... again i stopped and it cleared so i coasted at 65 the rest of the way home, 50 miles! My idle speed has started to jump too with the engine idling at nearly 2000rpm...
Sorry for the complete novice speak, i'm still pretty new and doing my best to learn, honest! Cheers for the help, I know you guys will give me some good advice!
