Sounds good? How is it applied?
it applies like wax, but its a glass coating so any imperfections will show through the coating.
if you want a perfect oem painted surface on a used car/swirled car, you have 6 steps before you can apply the coating such as
2 bucket hand wash
Claying of the car
compounding the car
Polishing the car
degrease the car
coating the car
= 90% of the scratches will be gone and your paint will look like its been resprayed.
cost of this is a lot, this is why you should do it DIY. put a price on it..
10 hours of work for a 1 step
15+ hours of work for a 2 step depending on the condition of the paint
20+ if you have finicky paint
+ interior work add another 3 hours+
Then you can do all sorts of stuff:
take the wheels off, clean, deironize them of brake dust and polishing them + coat them
put a plastic UV resistant coating on exterior and interior bits/tires
clean and put sealant on tailpipes
clean, condition and coat leather, spray some fabric UV guard on carpets, headliner, alcantara so they dont turn color in the sun.
some people use longer some use shorter, it all depends on how ocd or how proud they are of there work.
