CF2's or CF3's? Be great to see some pics and maybe hear them on a video. It sounds like you are very pleased with them

Yeh I must admit I hope he gets sorted ASAP. My thoughts so far are its a much better noise without being mentally loud, way less drone as well! I've got a decat pipe but don't think I'm going to fit it, just love the sound!

Hey guys, I got a call from Jerry on Friday but missed it, so he left a message saying they were ready. Unfortunately they will arrive too late for a planned road trip up to Yorkshire this week. I'm not really very patient Sam, just trying not to blow a fuse as that usually gets you to the bottom of the order book! ?

Good stuff. I bought some Gliptone restorer last year, with colour matched dye for the scuffs.
So far only used the cleaner and conditioner but it makes a big difference to look, feel and smell of the interior.
On theoriginal topic, I spoke to Jerry again today and my EL pipes will be arriving tomorrow. Should be in time for my garage slot too. To celebrate, I bought a new coolant tank from EB Spares!
Looks like rain the rest of the week though - typical

Great minds, think I may splash out on a new tank too... Mine is a weird brown gold colour lol. Yuk.
Glad your pipes will arrive on time!

They actually don't sit as low as I thought they might and the sound is lovely! So lovely!

Not yet, due to delays I missed my garage slot
Will be fitted on Tuesday, along with the new coolant tank, an engine flush, new oil and filter, upgraded rear Ultra Racing antiroll bar and 15mm rear wheel spacers!
Its what you call a Spring Clean!

So I finally got my car back yesterday. New paint and wizard cat back fitted, both of which are awesome. (I will be posting a detailed piece on the restoration in a month or so once it's all done).
Strangely (but pleasantly) the wizard doesn't seem to have much "crackle" on overrun/deceleration, like on some YouTube videos, which made me think do I actually need EL downpipes. Then I looked underneath and got worried about ground clearance.
Sam's feedback about clearance and sound is valuable thanks. I am CF3 though so relying on you Unclejam to tell us about your sound and clearance if you can mate (once your work is done of course!).

CF3s don't really crackle so much on the overrun, 4 cats sees to that. If you get replace the manifold cats with tubular manifolds then you will see a little more crackle.

Interestingly mine doesn't have any crackle. It's very raspy. I would like a bit of crackle but I'm so chuffed with how it sounds I don't want to change anything... For now. I need to get a video clip up.

Mine does have some overrun crackle even though it still has 4 cats. Maybe some of the cats have been gutted internally? Car should be ready by Wednesday so will put up some video and feedback then fellas ?

Another garage delay - car will be on the ramps tomorrow instead, so probably try and get some pics while it is up in the air and then report back on ground clearance and sound later.
Its driving me nuts waiting to get this work done, maybe I should pick a less popular garage!

Sorry mate, I haven't yet, although I've had a good look at them and although the welds look a bit "Pigeon sh*t" the pipes, flexi's and flanges seem reasonable quality so I'm not unhappy with them. In any case, they are undeneath as a previous poster said, so as long as they fit ok, its what they sound like that matters innit?
