Can't you guys make some EL down pipes too?

Not sure who has ordered what but my understanding from Jerry at cybox is I wa lucky because they were doing a run of 5 cf2 and I was either the 5th or they added one on while they were doing the batch.

They work well with those downpipes, if you want it a bit more subtle then you can have a centre silencer like the one on my pic a few posts back. I had both unsilenced and silenced middle sections and seemed to be swapping them over every other weekend, but I think if anything I preferred it slightly quieter.

We did prototype a set, and managed to get slightly better ground clearance than the ones that were on my car when I bought it, but in the end they were still too low and I still managed to impact them on the road a few times. Speedbumps were OK if I was careful but you should be able to take a speedbump at a normal speed, you can with standard downpipes fitted. It was centrally cambered roads and undulations causing the suspension to compress which were the big issue and I had to hold back on certain bits of the road to avoid them touching down. We just wouldn't be happy manufacturing something which could potentially cause someone issues. Our prototype 147 GTA set also got destroyed in use, raised ironwork ripped a hole in one of them.

You can see from the photo I posted on the last page where the problem zone is.

I ordered a cf3 set. Maybe they only build a batch when there are enough on their order book? ?

Possibly, but they should communicate this. Have you called them yet?

Naw, been away for a few days in darkest Cornwall. I'm ringing them tomorrow to ask if they remember me!

Ah gutted. Forgive my ignorance but why build them so they cross over and hence the low ground clearance ? Can you not run them side by side and avoid overlapping to stop them hanging low down?

I think it's difficult to make the rear bank secondary the same length as the front bank without it crossing over/under the front bank pipe.

Thats what gives you the equal length. If we ever build GTV downpipes it'll be unequal length ones like OEM & Alfaholics.

Just spoken to Cybox and mine will be sent out tomorrow for delivery Thursday. Apparently the reason why the cf2 pipes were sent out earlier is because there was a shortage of cf3 flanges and they were waiting for new stocks. Fair enough but not to let anyone know is not terribly good service.

Ordered 30th March, promised 7-10 days.
Actual delivery 5th May - 37 days.

Evening matey,
Glad you finally got it sorted. Agree the lack of comms isn't very good. Hopefully worth the wait.

Checking in on the progress on my car, here are the Alfaholics front pipes. There doesn't seem to be any clearance issues.

Looking good there Andy! nice and solid underside. I know mine will be a bit of an issue passing over and under but the car is only for going on B road blasts and shows.

There wouldn't be any clearance issues as they are'nt equal length pipes.

Mine arrived today.
Should you want it delivered wrapped and boxed, then you will need to specify. A bit worse for wear after being loaded on and off aeroplanes travelling from UK, to Germany, to Philladelphia, to Louiseville, to Hawaii, then Aust.

The pipes are of a decent build. I do not know if they fit as of yet.
