About 90 miles an hour then, shame it isn't 3000 rpm then that would be great for silent motorway driving.

Unfortunately the Cybox ELDP's I bought dont fit the manifold flange on my CF1

SO, I have a set of CF2 Cybox EL pipes in hand that I need to part with

What is it about them that doesn't fit? I always thought the CF1 manifolds were the same as CF2 except for the lack of lambda boss on the rear bank.

That was exactly my thoughts Dan !

CF2 Pipes fitted with a blank in the Lambda boss should suit CF1

They bolt up CAT end as expected,
The kinks in the pipe for the pass through the sump cavity fowls, this could be persuaded possibly, the curled rear bank pipe also fowls or doesn't line up.

The big one though is the actual diameter of the manifold to down pipe join is much bigger manifold side than the equal length pipes which would create a restriction, defeating the benefits of the EL.

Very odd, perhaps more 164 than GTV under bonnet ?

I'll dig the vernier gauges out tomorrow as need to measure my existing ones up and do a comparison anyway.

Outer at two different points because they are slightly narrower at the manifold end and then the diameter opens up. I don't think the inner diameter is any use because they flare open/wider on the flanges i.e the hole in the flange is slightly wider than the rest of the pipe.

Hope this helps (and mm is ok)!

Thank you very much james2375. I got mine made from 50mm (outer diameter) stainless pipe and was wondering whether I choose a proper diameter. I guess I'm good then

I'd love to see those fitted and the ground clearance. They look to take a different route to the others posted.

I'll post some pics, hoping to get one on the ramp. Won't be for a few weeks yet though.

Just to update as they are now fited

GTV 3.0 CF1 98 S plate with Wizzard and standard cat

These EL downpipes are just simply insane they are the most amazing sound and very much worth looking at, Anyone who has ever heard a wizzard will understand what a fantastic sound the wizzard alone will give you but this is just off the scale its a whole different level of scream and wail, and i have constant pops and burbles on the over run to, I never really had that before, Engine sounds smoother too i guess as equal amounts of exhaust air is delivered equally so it smooths things out, Build quality of welds is not even close to the wizzard but that`s just being a comment they are under car and will only bee seen on a ramp

ground clearance is terrible and i will have to be careful but i dont see it as a problem, Very happy !!!!

Same age and setup as mine! Very encouraged by these comments.

My mechanic seemed to have an issue fitting my ELDP's to my CF1.

Just out of interest what engine number is your GTV?

This is my CF3 fitted. I haven't managed to test the sound fully yet but first impressions they sound excellent. I would say they sit 40mm lower than the sump. I am being really careful but had no choice but to go over a speed bump at the petrol station (albeit a small one) and it cleared.

As before I seem to be restricted to one photo per post on ipad, didn't intend for it to go sideways/landscape either.
