I'd probably be up for a set of cf3's, but I need a few weeks to get my car on the road. Can't really commitment until the essentials are done.

Welds look a bit rough certainly not even close to the workmanship of the Wizard exhausts. See below

I'll get these fitted next week and will report back with a video clip of the noise.

So same design but the welding is a bit rougher than gus's originals when he did them himself.

I paid £295 + 15 carriage = total £310.
They are obviously taking advantage of the surge in interest. Maybe I should charge them a commission for starting this thread!! £££££££££

Thanks, not sure it was worth all the grief off the wife though as I had to empty the garage in to kitchen for a week whilst they did the floor and it cures.

Problem is the floor has some defects (bubbles) which means they've got to come back and do it again. I'm dreading telling her I'm emptying the garage into the kitchen again !

Wives would prefer that you spent the money on something else and dont understand why you cant just sweep a dirty concrete floor! Lovely GTV too by the way - I love that dark silver / redstyle colour combination best.
On another topic - where did you get that lovely red car cover? I found one on a German Alfa site but its €160 which seems like a lot of money for an elasticated red cotton sheet!

It's a genuine Alfa indoor cover which are rare as hens teeth. Had a few searches running for one on various sites and this one came up luckily I managed to snap it up rapier like before Clive spotted if.

Boys - I have got Jerry making me a sports cat. I've done a new thread on it:

http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...l#post14945386 (Cybox Sports Cats available for GTV V6)

I briefly mentioned some people wanting unequal length downpipes as a better priced alternative to the Alfaholics ones. Didn't go into depth because they are of no interest to me now I've order their EL ones. However, if you are I suggest you call him to discuss.

My Cybox downpipes are now fitted and according to the garage they sound very nice. Picking car up tomorrow so should know more then.

However the garage owner, who happens to be my best friend!, moaned about the amount of tweaking they had to do as they fouled on the gearbox and sump if I recall correctly.

He's comments were they are good quality and well made but needed adjustment to get them to fit right.

I'm glad i didn't try to do this at home now !!

When I get chance I play to do a video clip of noise to share. But my priority at present is to get her cleaned up for Alfa Day show on 10th July.

Oh bring on the noise, bet they sound great. I wonder what was adjusted on a static engine with steel pipes, what could you adjust?

You could drill out the mounting holes in the flanges that attach to the manifolds so you have a bit of adjustment here, you can heat up & bend the pipes a little, or just tw@t in the bits that hit something with a ball pein hammer! There's no nice way of doing it though. It might have been better if they'd left that sleeve joint in the middle un-welded, then it could be twisted and clamped up in the most suitable position.

Peco equal length downpipes - any info?

Ok so I now have the GTV back complete with Cybox EL Downpipes fitted.

Noise wise it's a smidge louder than the standard Wizard set up which is not a good thing as I think it's too loud as is.

However it does make a difference to the exhaust note. It's lost some of its rasp and got more of a growl low down and howl at higher revs.

Weirdly at 3500 rpm it goes all quiet then comes quickly back online. So below 3500 it's more of a deeper growl.

Then nothing it goes sort of quiet then it comes back with a vengeance to howl almost Ferrari esk

It does sound epic just wish I could switch it on and off, volume wise

As for fitment it does hang worrying low and in an exposed position. I will be super nervous traversing speed humps.

All in all after a lengthy B road blast it gets a thumbs up from me.
