916 Spider - tips on making more useable...?
It's been a while since I posted but I have been lurking... My Spider has been in the garage since September as I've had a lot going on with work and home so using the other two motors.
Anyway, in a week or so, the Jag will be moving on to its new owner and the Spider will become my daily car again in the New Year once it's been serviced. The car is a little tired cosmetically but mechanically it's in pretty good order and I've kept it well serviced so it should be fine to use more than it has the last couple of years... I'm wondering if those of you using your 916s (specifically Spiders) day in, day out have made any subtle modifications to make the car easy or easier to use on a very regular basis.
After the servicing and fixing a couple of issues like a leaky driver's window (hopefully adjustment will sort it!), so far I've thought to:
- Fit HID lights
- Upgrade the stereo to an iPod one and fit good speakers with the adaptors recommended on here
- Refresh Brake fluid and fit good EBC pads
- Refresh the coolant and get the air con re-gassed to make the system as effective as possible on cold and damp / hot and humid days
Any more hints and tips? I'll post my works in my thread on here somewhere about the on going up keep and maintenance of my car...
