Radiator support member wanted

I knew it was rusty but when I removed it today to change the radiator it's beyond repair and so I need another one. I've hada scan on ebay but nothing comes up. Does anyone have one? Cheers, Phil

Can't help Phil, but reckon mine is past it too. May have to manufacture something from box section.

Mine is in pretty poor condition too. I am planning on fabricating a new one out of Stainless steel or Aluminium and using the old one as a template.

Mangaed to fit mine after a strip down and loads of fresh paint. Looks much better now. Good plan to fabricate a new one, I think a lot are in poor condition now

It is a guaranteed rust trap on any Fiat/Alfa. Everyone I have owned has been the same. Even my 5 year old Giulietta is showing signs of rot there (fortunately, only there)

OK....Here's a deal; I love doing this sort of fabrication and if there is a need for it we may even make a few bob. If someone can send me a pattern (doesn't matter how rusty) OR is handy with CAD/CAM or even knows how to do a decent engineers drawing, I will have a go at getting one made up. We have a laser cut facility (not mine) that we can utilise. It may not be Stainless (yet) but Lets see what happens eh?

I'm going to change my radiator sometime soon, and have a go at refurbishing the support bracket on mine too. While it's apart I'll take some pics and dimensions.

I drilled out the spot welds to separate the two parts of the support as it gets very rusty where they join. Cleaned them up and plug welded them back together.

I've just got a reasonable one from clover breakers today, although I think I'm going to want to get it stripped and powder coated before it goes on the car (or whatever is the best plan to preserve the things). I'll try and make an engineering drawing of it although I might need to wait until new year to get some vernier calipers from work.

OK gazc or sparkdanny - the offer still stands; get me a drawing or a pattern and I will send you the first one gratis, to try. I have looked at Katies and may also need one in the future! POR15 for now though.
Merry Xmas.

Hi

Anyone manage a drawing of dimensions that would allow me to have one made up?
Mine is turning to dust so not sure if I can use much of it as a template!

Thanks Hami

Bought one of these from E.B. & it fitted perfectly. Total cost inc. carriage & VAT was around 90.
