GTV phase 2 no wipers

Hope someone can point me in the right direction.

My GTV wipers stopped working today. Nothing at all, at any speed. No washers either.
Checked the fuses and all ok. Where to start next please?

It could be a variety of things, First thing is to turn the wipers on and listen to see if you can hear the wiper motor working. Recently my wipers stopped, I could hear the motor working, so I took off the arms and the black panel that covers the motor mechanism and switched the wipers on, the nut that hold the arm mechanism onto the motor had come loose, the motor was going round but because the nut was loose the wipers could not work. If you can't hear the motor working either it's an electrical fault or the wiper motor has died. Try it without the engine running. It's an easy job to remove the black panels, just undo the torx screws and very carefully put your hand under the panels and lever up the back section that sits by the windscreen, 4 nylon grip fixings.

See the wiring diagram for the windscreen wiper and washer control.
Check if there is 12V present at orange/black wire at pin B3 on the wiper control unit.

the electrics panel on the back of the motor is a known failure point , it dry joints where components are soldered to the panel. if you desolder the 3 legs and lift off the panel , prise apart along the seam and examine the board you may well find it , just resolder carefully.Smear a little clear silicone on the joint line when you re fit the cover to keep the wet out , then resolder to motor. i have done it twice with complete success , sounds worse than it is. hope this helps
