Oil in Water but no Water in the Oil
A sad thing happened Yesterday to my 2001 TS Spider.
While driving in the city the temp gauge went to max and when I pulled over and lifted the bonnet there was emulsified oil and water coming out of the radiator overflow tank via the cap.
A massive mess and the Oil dipstick showing no oil and no water.
I let her cool down thinking I had blown the head gasket.
After a trip home on the back of a tow truck I topped up the oil and turned her over. She ran smoothly and no smoke came out of the exhausts. I let her idle for a couple of minutes and turned her off.
When I checked the dipstick there still wasn't any water in the oil so now I'm thinking it might NOT be the head gasket.
Could oil get into the radiator any other way??? Maybe the oil cooler atachment at the oil filter?
Thanks in advance,
