its a unique color on the PH1 its 632 color code think its called either NERO or just BLACK
Yes the number plate position allows the bumper and the feature point nose to really be on show, Saw it in a pic on a car from Italy
very true. its metallic black. i have 601 nero black on my phase 1. its supposed to be flat black.. but not really flat black. more like gray black.

yes i would recommend optimum opti (now called OptiGloss) if you want the best of the best. you can do it your self very easily. it can be used on any painted surface, exhaust, wheels.
But you have to follow the instructions very closely. prep and doing the instructions correctly will make opti coat last for years, wrong prep and not enough cure time, a year max instead of 3 or 5 years.
Optimum Gloss-Coat Paint Coating
i use CQuartz Dlux Plastic, Rubber and Alloy Coating - CarPro UK
for the interior, UV protectant, all plastics/rubber/tire outside and inside is coated with this.
It gives you new life to the faded plastic, and permanent tire shine on the tires. 1 year or so.
Prep would be:
then fixing any swirls with a DA before application since the coating will trap any imperfections.
