This is the one I bought:
There is a tapped hole for one of the two front mounts (on the bottom of the rad crossmember) - so I fitted a bolt in there no probs.
The other front mount doesnt seem to have a tapped hole.
The two side mounts dont seem to mount to anything, but I think I probably have some small (bottom) pieces of the arch liners missing.
For the rear two mounts, on one side there is a tapped hole in the subframe (I think) at a funny angle but about 5-10cm from where it needs to be, on the other side, nothing
Does anoyone have pics of the original mounting points on a P2 car?
Ive read good reviews about these undertrays on here, hence buying one.
I bought one from polish supplier 'dsp-car-power' it aligned well to my 2000 phase 2, just had to massage one of the 6 holes.
On initial fit up I experienced difficulties due to the poor state of the car fixing points... all the more reason to keep one fitted!
There should be 2 tapped inserts on the front rad cross member, these needed a tap running through them to clear the rust. One of yours must have been lost.
The middle fixing points do fix to the wheel arch side panels. More than likely the secret fixings will be long since gone. I used nuts and bolts, but tricky to hold the back nut!, I suspect the originals were self tappers direct from below.
There should be two tapped inserts in the subframe to take the rear fixings, one of mine was also missing, they get pressed out when used as jacking points.
Original had heat shield material pop riveted to the centre section where the exhaust manifold is v. close (if not touching). I sourced and fitted some.
There are so many advantages to fitting an undertray they are worth the bother IMO.
Me thinks not fitting one contributes to timing belt failure... if driven in all weathers.
