One thing you have to watch is that some tyres that do very well in tests wear very quickly.
The Dunlop Blue response on that test get very good results on their tests, but if you look at user reviews on tyretest.com is seems that they don't last long.
Obviously all tyres are going to be a compromise between grip and longevity, but you would expect a touring tyre like the Blueresponse to be a bit more biased towards longer life.
The old SP Sport Fastresponse was a cracking tyre, and lasted well to boot.
My car has a mixture of Pilot Sport 3's and Dunlop SP Sport MAX RT.
The Michelins grip well and have worn well but are noisy.
The Dunlops have worn quickly (And have cracked between the treads), are nothing special in terms of wet grip but are nice and quiet.
The Goodyears are going on soon, I will report back my findings but from the reviews they get I am expecting them to be good.
You will never be cool driving a Vauxhall.
