EMU light on and in limp mode -V6
So we're 75% way through our European road trip and the car's been running fine until yesterday. We were heading towards Como in Italy when I realised I had no power and the car would struggle to hit 3k rpm. Eventually I noticed the EMU light was on (difficult to see in bright conditions!)
Managed to pull over safely, lifted bonnet and checked everything visible. On start up car was back to normal but light still on.
We continued our journey and later the EMU light turned off. It happened two more times with the last time just metres from our destination. Each time it coincided with hitting one of the many Italian potholes and each time a stop, switch off and re-start saw normal service.
This morning we travelled through the Mont Blanc tunnel and it happened again. This was followed by a couple of hundred miles of faultless performance ( conclusion - it prefers French roads!)
Anyway my suspicions are it is a connection somewhere that is momentarily upsetting the EMU because of physical shock and causing it to switch to limp home mode.
Whilst I'm confident we will complete the final 600 miles it would be useful to know if there any obvious things I could check to avoid any further failures. I have to say I'm now terrified that it might go to limp mode in mid overtake. I'd welcome any suggestions.
