As the title suggests, partsworld have one left at £200.
I treated my car to a thorough clean and wire brush down underneath and re applied fresh underseal and a waxoil. Whilst doing this i noticed the front subframe is getting very scabby and was added to the refurbish list but as partsworld have them in at a much reduced price it seams sensible to buy now and store until spring instead of refurbishing the old one (probably would have cost £100 or to strip and powder-coat )
I also removed the plastic sill covers which was a real pain in the ar53, much drilling and grinding eventually removed them. The sills were reasonable but were showing signs of corrosion so they got the full treatment: grinding, rust treatment and new underseal plus gallons of waxoil injected into the cavity.
If your car is like mine and some complete muppet has crushed the sill lip in the past whilst jacking it up it is well worth the effort to check your sills under that shiny plastic comfort blanket !
I straitened the sill lips with a big block of wood and a very big hammer, low tech but it works and re-drilled the drain holes which had been bent over by the jack muppets .
All in all its a job that if it can be put off will be but once you bite the bullet its a comfort to know that its done !
Before and after pics, ( which are upside down, why as i they are at the correct orientation when i upload them and i cant find an edit function on the site.Any ideas ?)
