Thumbs Up Solved my window issues

Thought I would post this just in case someone else has the same problem as me and they do a search on old posts

Car - 52 plate V6 3.0 GTV with auto drop

Problem - ever since buying the car I have never been able to get the passenger door window glass to work. When I say not work I mean there is no life there at all . The drivers side was easily fixed by installing a new motor. So in short the drivers side works and the passengers side does not.

Fixes tried - replaced the motor and mechanism several times, replaced the switch, checked the loom junction between the door and the A pillar, checked all the fuses in the fuse box and the two in the engine bay and none of this made any difference.

Solution - replaced the window ecu located behind the passenger air bag. Accessed by removing the glove compartment (5 small allen head fixings and 3 larger ones). Everything works fine now.

One happy chappy
