Anyone who buys from Veloces takes an instant hit of thousands.
Sure, they sell some of the best used Alfas around, but you do pay top dollar for the privilege.
And their prices have little effect on the used market - just look at all the other adverts on Autotrader and Pistonheads for proof. Bargains left, right and centre.
That said, if you want the best spec, lowest mileage Alfa, with a warranty, and have money to burn, then Veloces would be a good starting point.
There may be bargain out there but a lot of the cheaper options have more than twice the mileage on the odometer and in need of work to be done on them including a paint job.
Add all the expenses you may incur with a cheaper option and you will not be far off certain prices anyway, unless you have a lot of free time and do most of the repairs yourself.
Look at CG Trading too than. They have a lovely zoe yellow gtv for sale ...... is that a ridiculous price too than? Maybe slightly high but not far off the real value I guess. Very low mileage car too.
I bought my GTV cup from Veloces, for less than the advertised price, but the only thing I need to do on the car is the poly bushes on the rear. everything else is in good order including the paint.
I have seen the Blue gtv advertised at Veloces and it looks like a fine well kept car. The price maybe a bit too high, I agree. The red GTV discussed here originally looks like a very well kept car too with low mileage, so I hope the seller does achieve the price.
People spend the same kind of money for German brands therefore I do not see why Alfa Romeo should not achieve those prices too. Maybe people prefer to pay for the so called prestige of driving a German brand.
I do not :-)
