Can't get it up :(

Basically there are two thuings i can't get up. Not all the way all the time anyway

Firstly my aerial goes up but the bottom most section does not extend. Has anyone got a clue how this can be fixed without buying a new one?

Secondly on my way home yesterday my window went down but wouldn't go up. I eventually got it to go up by hitting it down a bit (there was a considerable amount of play!). Luckilly i have aircon but its not ideal having a window you can't open (at least its the passenger one)! Any ideas?

You're not alone Q
Have you tried lubrication? (for the aerial)
Your window bottom stop might have slipped? Can you get it back up if you don't open it all the way down? If so, then dismantle to door panel and readjust the stop. Maybe.

Yep, WD40 the aerial and 'help it' when it engages the motor whilst spraying liberally...
Mine was the same on the Spider and needed some TLC.

RE window - dodgy motor or slipped out of the frame as Driver says

Re: Can't get it up :(

My aerial was nearly seized when I got the car. Covered in filth and some oxide. Grand spraying of releasing oil and a help up and down a few times meant it went to the top. AND stayed there (I wish)
Since then it has faltered now and again. I think all that trying against a seized aerial has worn the clutch at the bottom.
One day I''ll ......

These things usually happen in threes, I'd be worried if I were you

Just a top tip - the aerial is a mechanical device and so does need oil from time to time
