Re: All Mods done
In terms of look, I prefer the Cup, although the GTA is dead beautiful as well. I prefer the idea of a proper coupe than a hot hatch. And many people would just see it as another 147 hatch. Just me personal preference really. The GTA is rare, but the Cup is even rarer (despite the fact that it's identical to a normal V6 aoart from the body kit and the badge).
With the overall out lay, I could easily have bought another GTA. Which is obviously more spacious and much better resale prospect. Although I love the Cup so much, I can't justify this one myself.
With all the mods done to the Cup now. Dare I say it's actually a better car to drive than a standard GTA. I don't know weahter the Cup is as fast as a GTA now. But I'm sure it won't be far off anyway. Nigel rekons 245 bhp mark. But the cup definitely feel faster due to the induction and exhaust note. It just sounds like a mini Italian super car now. Handling-wise, the Cup wins hands down. I keep the standard springs beacuse I don't want to lower the car. But the combination of standard springs, Bilstein shocks and Powerflux bushes work magic. You only lose a little bit of ride comfort but the car handle a lot better and give you total confidece. The standard GTA suspansion is quite comfortable. So the Cup loses in this aspect. The GTA's brake is a much more power setup than the Cup (bigger calipers and discs). With all the works done to the brake on the Cup, the feel from the pedal is better than the GTA, but in terms of out right braking power, the GTA has the edge.
Of course all the above is base on the standard GTA I had before. if you do the similar mods to the GTA, surely it will be a completely different story.
For the same money, I'm having a better car is terms of driving. I just keep telling this to myself so that I won't regret not getting a GTA instead.
