Have had my daily driver SORN'd for last seven months in order to carry out a major mechanical refurb. Seven months previously i was on my way to MOT centre and my clutch decided that enough was enough just 2 miles from the test centre.
I must admit that i was pretty sick of the car at this point and had it towed to my yard where she sat for a month before i could motivate myself to bring her back to rude health. So, a new clutch, cam belt, balance belt, Aux belt, (5 Yearsand 52k miles since last)(Shame on me) Variator, variator shells, Inlet oil seal, exhaust oil seal, water pump, Crank oil seal-gearbox side, , plugs, filters and all fluids replaced. Nearly forgot! New Cam sensor and Exhaust sprocket fitted.
Then new(2nd hand) drive shafts installed with new boots all round, new wishbones and drop links both sides, subframe stripped cleaned and resprayed, new brake hoses in all four corners and new copper brake lines in the front fitted. Starter motor stripped, cleaned and regreased and loads more that i can't think of at the moment but will use this thread to list the pics and show people how to change a clutch with only a trolley jack and a spare car wheel to support engine ...if you fancy doing it yourself?
Anyways, up for MOT yesterday and she flew through
She is now taxed and back on the road just in time for summer and i can't get used to having a totally clear windscreen with no mot or tax disc.
