Hello, thank you for the very useful obsevations.
Acording to my calcualtions the 60amp/hr battery will be half run down in a week.
The battery is new and tested.
Any more obsevations, informations and clues greatfully received
You will have detected from previous posts that I have a great fondness for crap batteries.
You say it is "new and tested" which is all fine and dandy but is it a GOOD battery (Bosch gel or similar) or just something you pulled off Halfrauds shelf?
I remember putting a new battery from a local car parts shop on my 33 one Christmas cos the one on there was shot.
About six weeks later the car turned over very slowly at work one Friday afternoon and was dead the next morning. Charged it up during the day and it was fine but next morning nothing. I spent HOURS checking everything out (radio, aerial, alarm system, cigar lighter) that you have checked and still nothing. Turned out to be a faulty battery that I had purchesed.
OK so you have had yours tested but if it's an inferior battery to start with (at only 60 amp/hours!) that could still be the culprit.
Or else if someone here has a wiring diagram that would be very useful to you as you can then track down all live fed devices.
Also check anything non-standard like boot fitted amps and the like, or aftermarket anything (electric windows or illuminated gun-rack or whatever!).
My money is still on the battery!
