As Spankdanny says, use a position on the subframe around where the wishbone is bolted in. A low level trolley jack will get under there and reach. Couple of wooden chocks will help. Alternatively use the jacking point turret just behind the front wheel and maybe 2-3 inches inward of the sill. Then sling an axle stand under the subframe.
My sills, like many are pretty ropey. I haven't had the patience to straighten them like some, but I have put two coats of hammerite on them to protect as much as possible for the future. I also give any mechanics / tyre fitters fair warning about the consequences should they decide to jack on the sills!!
