Help! My GTV is becoming a Spider!

I decided to put some air in the tyres of my GTV today before taking it out for a spin. I wonder what would have happened to them if I did'nt?

I used a soft brush to remove them and it was fascinating to see them all cling together like a daisy chain and come off in one go. I brushed them off onto the garden wall for them to find a new home.

They are Araneus Diadematus (common garden spiders). Apparently they grow better if they can feed on Shell V-Power flies (available at most local kebab shops).
