Really lumpy tickover and harder to start when warm

Hey guys, I've searched for results but I want to get some more opinions before I buy anything.

About a month ago I noticed that the tickover was really lumpy when the car warmed up. It was also more difficult to start, say 10 seconds before it catches. It always used to start immediately.

This has been carrying on for about 5 weeks now and I know something has changed or is failing. Any ideas or shall I just go ahead and buy a crank sensor? Phase 1 V6 btw.

Possibly a crank position sensor fault. I had a similar issue on a Fiat Bravo. Eventually the car just wouldn't start at all when hot.
