It's definately a firmer ride, but the trade off is a much sharper turn in. The passive rear steering is dulled down a lot as well.
Fitting them is easy, they're designed to push fit and contrary to popular belief you don't need a press to get them in - a vice is enough for the stubborn ones.
Getting them out is the hard bit. Easiest way is to take them to a local indy and have them press the old ones out. The masochistic approach involves a blow torch to burn the rubber and a hacksaw to cut through the outer steel core - it's time consuming, but effective.
If I were doing it again, I'd definately have them pressed out rather than cutting them out.
