Re: My GTV Broke Down Today

Right I have brought the pins from eBay to fix the bonnet, thanks for the advice. Now I need to get the MAF. After reading comments posted, I want to buy a genuine Bosch MAF but I am struggling to find a place to easily buy one from. I have tried a couple of places for a quote (including EBSpares) but they either want to know my chassis number (which I donít know and canít check without a hour trip each way, or they want to know the part number which also I canít seem to find as the Bosch website doesnít seem to list them). Any ideas for a part number for the 3.0 V6, 1999 or places that list them on their webpage with a price and add to basket option? Iím just getting nowhere on my own and am getting frustrated, why canít they quote form the type of car, age, engine size etc?

Chassis number is on your log book if you have it handy? Not sure if it has all the codes tho?

Re: My GTV Broke Down Today

I take it you're not near the car then as the chassis number should be in the engine bay.

Give Jamie at the Alfaworkshop a ring and explain you can't get your chassis number. I'm sure he'll be able to sort you out.

Just don't ring him Friday as mine's in for a 72k service and cambelt change and I don't want him distracted
