Definitely twin spark but not for £5000. Several on eBay for half that or less.
absolute beauty just sold by garage for £1600, immaculate, low miles, history + warranty
Theres a lot of rubbish floating around re prices, with individuals stockpiling cars and trying to Bull the market -Whenever a resource become scarce, the greedy step in to try and make a killing.
Huge difference between asking prices and actual average selling prices in this type of market - some ***** asking well into 5 figures!
IMHO TS range from £400 to £1400 in the main, with exceptional ones £1400-1900 - whilst the dare I say 'overated?' V6 (when compared value for value against an identical TS), range from £900-2900, with exceptional ones £2900-3700
IMHO anyone paying more than this will not see their money back anytime soon, making heavy maintenance bills difficult to justify
High values (substantially more than above) will discourage enthusiasts and put up cost of spares and servicing - TVR are going through this metamorphosis - I no longer recognise 'everyday' enthusiasts of old at shows, nor do i recognise the cars - tens of thousands thrown at many of the cars with ludicrous supercharged 8 litre transplants in 19 hundredweight glass cars...no longer the local clubby feel at all, seems more like 'mine is better than yours' mentality now...moan over
In summary, we are all better off being happy with near current true values, rather than hyping them into 5 figures....where there are far more exotic temptations, such as Maserati 4200 with true Ferrari power..
Not familiar with TS Spider values other than to say I know of several immaculate ones bought for c £!600 - personally I would love to see all good GTV / Spider hover around say £2500, making them accessible, without being too cheap or expensive regarding cost of maintenance...imho
