I'm sure everyone's idea of what a good standard car is changed a lot.
I wasn't happy with my 147 by the time I part-exed it - for me the clutch was light for the first year I had it and for six months after the clutch and flywheel were changed. On the face of it it probably looked ok, but someone else might look at it and think the clutch was un-drivable, the parking knocks and stone chips needed attention and the wheels that had been repaired before I bought it needed re-furb. So to one person ok, another thinks it needs 1500 spending on it.
I would be genuinely interested in how much people have spent on spiders after they bought them. I can't disagree that I could buy a cheap spider, not do anything to it, but By next year the list of jobs needing doing might mean that it got scrapped. I'm sure I'd have fun this year though.
Anyway I've spent the afternoon clearing the garage up and measuring up to see how well I can fit one. I guess you can never have a big enough garage, unless you had Chris Evans's.
