I now beleive that i have the three main securing bolts in their correct home?
*15mm is the hidden screw in the sump area,
*19mm with big washer secures mount to gearbox and is hidden once exhaust hanger bracket is in place.
* Other 19mm is used to secure exhaust bracket on lower half of bracket.
Now i have the torque problem.
The workshop manual is little use and only really gives the main securing bolt to the subframe of 75-92Nm, there is no mention anywhere as to the torque of the bolt 15mm hidden in sump area!?
im wary of this as i have had a nightmare of bolts snapping on torque with my recent overhaul, have blamed it on the fact that bolts are now 18yrs old.
Obviously the 15mm bolt is into the soft alloy of engine and im worried about torque ..... any suggestions?
As for the two 18/19mm bolts that go from the mount into gearbox, i reckon 75-92Nm is the way to go?
Has anyone had this experience and what did you do, did you just do up bloomin tight or were you anal like me and apply specific torque to the bolts.
Any hints and tips are welcomed as always.
