Both are easy enough if you can find your way round a screwdriver!

Front grill badge open bonnet on inside of grill at rear of badge you'll see three rectangle retaining slide clips that's clamp on to the badge prongs that poke through the grill mesh. Carefully slide these off by prising with screwdriver. Badge should pop off and fitment is the reverse of the above.

Rear badge is slightly more tricky and I am assuming you have swivel badge. You're best off removing the entire boot lock mechanism which is simple enough. Open boot remove lining cover from lid. There is a locating lug on the internal rear of the badge that you need to rotate clockwise (I think) and it will unclamp the lock which you can then remove complete.

The swivel badge is held in place by a c shaped clip at rear of badge which you need to CAREFULLY remove. When removed the badge can be lifted out, again be careful as you can lose the spring. Fitment is the reverse of the above.

Good luck and use forum search function on here to add more detail on my comments above if you're struggling.

On a Spider at least (don't know about a GTV), its easy to remove the badge without the whole mechanism - do a search on the forum and there is a detailed how-to guide ;)

Front isn't quite as easy as it sounds. The 3 rectangle clips just keep the mesh in place, but as it's fitted to the edges with rivets, it's not easy to remove.
There's 2 clips on the back of the badge keeping it in by 2 small prongs. The badge will pull out of these without damaging the clips, but getting the small clips back behind the mesh looks a pig of a job.
Just done both my badges tonight, and I have 2 clips in reserve, and slightly less 'no more nails' than I had before...
Not the official fitting instructions, but job done and after a bit of a polish of the surround, and a recent Autoglym HD wax, it looks great

Thanks Alfame, and that makes sense (I definitely have the c clip in place A6). The old badge seems to have a small hole on the revers which is positioned slightly differently than the new badge and I had problems aligning it. I might have another go tomorrow
