Re: Dismantle the Interior
The door panels come off OK (I would say 15 minutes average), once you know how to do that and have the necessary spanners on hand. The first time, however, was for me a bit time-consuming. Look for hidden allen key bolts behind the speaker cover, inner door handle and window switches. (The ones at the bottom of the doors and to the front of the mirrors are easy to see.) Everything, except the window switches (which should be prised out with a flat head screwdriver) is tightened by bolts, so do not try unclipping the door panel/card like in many other cars. Once you have all the bolts off, the panel lifts off three fairly hefty retaining "pillars". Refitting: Start by engaging these "hooks" first before you start to put pieces back.
Have never attempted a full dash board removal. I have just cured a bad creak coming from under the windscreen by loosening, lubricating and retightening one of the 10mm bolts under this windscreen. Space is a problem with the screen fitted, and one of these miniature socket sets will come in handy. Centre console removal and fitting is OK - search this site for the positions of the allen key bolts.
