Re: GTV passenger window

hi - I've just bought my GTV & had exactly the same problem. I wanted it sorted by the garage, which they agreed to do. Apparently on a P2 there is a small cam which needs turning to adjust the window drop - simple job but I'm sure someone will be along soon with more info.

I had the same problem and took it to the garage for them to fix, can't remember how much it cost but it didn't break the bank

Adjusting the glass so it will stop at the correct position is quite easy but takes a bit of time and fiddling about to get it just right. As the above posted link shows there are two two adjusting screws at the bottom of the door, locked in place with a nut. These are reachable with ought removing the full door panel.

The tilt the glass away/towards the top of the sealing rubber. You can adjust then independently to ensure the glass mates all round the seal.

The other important adjustment is the glass stops which can only be adjusted by fully removing the door panel. There is one on the lock and Hindge side of the door, right at the top. Each stop is locked by two screws.

Before all this I would check your door is closing properly and sitting flush with the rest of the body work!

What lagamorph said. I had the same issue and followed the alfaworkshop guidelines. Worked a treat! Just make sure you follow everything it says and you'll be smilin' again!

Costs about £50 a window to adjust I think.

Just a note for those of you doing this yourself. Make sure you leave the door card off for a few days. After adjusting mine so that they were pefect, after a couple of days they moved out again. Requiring me to remove the door card which is an annoying job for a quick turn of a screw.
